Bikes on CATS Buses and LYNX Train for FREE
The Charlotte Area Transportation System is allowing anyone traveling with a bicycle on CATS Buses and the LYNX Train for free, May 5 - May 11, during BIKE! Charlotte. Using the bicycle, in combination with a CATS Bus or the LYNX Train, is an efficient, inexpensive, and environmentally friendly way to travel in the Queen City. For information, including a video on how to load your bike on the bus, visit the Rack and Ride program on the CATS website. For information on how to load your bike on the LYNX Train, you can visit the Rack and Ride section of the LYNX website.
2nd Annual National Bike to School Day
Register your school to participate at National Bike to School Day http://www.walkbiketoschool.org/. There are resources available online to assist as you put your team together, plan your event, recruit community partners and map your routes.

Monthly Bike Commuter's Luncheon
Come join experienced bike commuters to share experiences and joys of commuting on a regular basis by bike! Our discussions are informal and wide-ranging, including safe ride practices, routes, bike equipment, attire, travel experiences and more.

Bike Law Mid-Week Mid-Day MTB Ride
Spice up your lunch hour by joining Bike Law for a fun mid-day mountain bike ride at Renaissance Park! This trail is approximately six miles long and is a fun place for all cycling levels to ride! We will meet at the Bike Law office and ride over to the trail, complete one lap and then return. All levels welcome!

Greenway Urban Social Ride
Join us for a cruise on the Little Sugar Creek Greenway and other parts of Charlotte you may not have realized were so accessible by bike. There will be very limited riding in the road and only on low volume streets. The ride will take approximately 1 hour. Upon returning please join us for a social.

Beginner Bike Ride with Trek Bicycle Store
Trek Bicycle Store of Charlotte will be leading a beginner ride on Wednesday night at the Huntersville Business Park (Strayer University Parking Lot). This ride will be for first time road riders and cyclists just getting started. The focus of this ride will be teaching new riders how to ride in a group, how and when to shift gears (if necessary), and generally getting new riders comfortable riding on the road and ready to ride in larger groups on longer rides. This is roughly a 10 mile ride and the speed adjusted based on the ability of the gropu.

Charlotte Summer Series Mountain Bike Race
The Charlotte Mountain Bike Summer Series takes place every Wednesday night throughout the summer, at various trails in Charlotte. These races have formats that are similar to a criterium; the racers must try to finish as many laps as possible, within a certain time frame. Each course varies in length and obstacles, and will challenge every level of cyclist! It's time to give mountain bike racing a try!
